Public Employees Roundtable (PER) invites you to join them in their mission to return the profession of public service to its former level of respect and honor. Since 1982, PER has been working to better inform Americans about the quality of people in government and of the services they provide; to promote excellence within government and esprit de corps among government employees; and to encourage interest in public service careers.

PER established three core programs that directly support its mission.

1. Public Service Recognition Week, celebrated the first week of May since 1986, is a time set aside to honor America's 18 million public employees and to inform the public about the quality and breadth of successful government programs.

2. Public Service Excellence Awards honor the best programs at the federal, state, city and county levels of government.

3. Public Service Scholarship Program that has awarded over $130,000 to deserving college and graduate students planning government careers.

As a Friend of the Roundtable, you will be supporting this vital mission and adding your voice to the almost 2 million federal, state, county, and local government employees and retirees who are members of the PER coalition. You will receive PER's newsletter, "Unsung Heroes", and be invited to special events which provide excellent networking opportunitites.
