Prudential Life Insurance Company is a subsidiary of Prudential Financial, Inc. which headquarters in Newark, New Jersey (NYSE: PRU). Insurance agent John Fairfield Dryden originally began Prudential Financial as The Prudential Friendly Society in 1875. By 1879, Prudential's sales of life insurance to the working middle class extended into New York City and Philadelphia. They were the first US company to offer such products to this class of consumers. As a symbol of this, the Rock of Gibraltar was chosen as Prudential's company symbol, reflecting the strength and stability it offers customers.
Prudential Financial, Inc., has proven itself as a financial services leader and operates in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Prudential's businesses offer a variety of products and services, including life insurance, retirement-related services, annuities, mutual funds, investment management, and real estate services.
