How do i know if my father had a policy or left me anything if I did not have contact with him throughout my childhood due to his new wife keeping him away from his children, also he had a child support order to pay but ran from us and was never made to pay this, can that back pay that was never received be forced to be paid from his estate or policies he may have had?

I'd start by asking his property and causality agent. If he had policies, they are probably there.
If he had policies, but did not name you beneficiaries, you cannot get the money from the policies for back child support payments. Life Insurance proceeds are exempt from creditors.
Your only other chance is to sue his estate for the back child support. An attorney will be able to tell you if that is even feasible.
